Welcome to the month of April. By the time you are reading this, you will be deep into it. That means I can’t play any April Fool jokes on you. Never been a fan of those anyway. When I was a kid, my favourite radio station CHUM FM 104.5 announced they were going to be changing formats and playing elevator music and for half the day they did that, only to announce it was a big April Fool’s Joke. Another BIG deal in June (rather than April thanks to Covid-19) is TAX day! Yep! The revised June 1st (not April 30th) deadline for filing those personal income tax returns. I don’t think most people mind paying taxes as long as they are being put to good use. I think it’s the waste that bothers most us citizens.
Both days I mention above are for sure conversation starters, one full of funny stories, the other maybe not so much, but there are few days more memorable than the day you buy your dream home. That day is supposed to be fun, exciting and great feeling of accomplishment.

Why I Support Trillium Health Partners (THP) of Mississauga
For 40 years, my family and I have been proud to call Mississauga home. I remember when I first heard about a young person close to our family suffering from a nasty disease and getting treated for it at what’s now known as Trillium Mississauga. My wife, a nurse, worked there in Paediatrics. It was then that I began to pay closer attention to the work they do for our benefit.
For seven years ending in 2009, I volunteered my time, expertise and energy on the Credit Valley Board of Directors helping to oversee its management and expansion as it grew into what we know THP to be today. Since then, I've learned that it is a collection of hard-working health care professionals, most also making their home right here in Mississauga, all coming together for a common cause.
I take pride in using my real estate business to give back and support the good work these people do at THP’s. My team rally's around our annual goal of raising money and donating portions of our income to help THP’s in their quest to heal our Mississauga kids and families when they need healing.
