The Love Doctor is in… 

Not that I am the Dr. of Love or anything like that… But then again, most probably like to believe they are.  After all - Love is a many splendid thing. When my wife Debbie and I were planning our wedding at the Old Mill back in 1979, she suggested we reveal to all in attendance words that would convey our LOVE for each other.  My favourite Love Description is from 1 Corinthians 13: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.” 

It doesn’t matter your ‘religious persuasion’ to say “yea, that IS a great description of LOVE”. I am talking LOVE because February is the Love month, rightly celebrated with Valentine’s Day.  

I could go on with all kinds of examples like – Love Your Mississauga Neighbour as Yourself, even go all business on you with accolades about how much we love doing business with you, or how much we love your referrals and more – but, the point is we do love helping people sell and buy real estate.  And those people say we are good it!

In fact, if it’s OK with you, let me focus just a bit on the REFERRAL request.

Why I Support Trillium Health Partners (THP) of Mississauga

For 40 years, my family and I have been proud to call Mississauga home. I remember when I first heard about a young person close to our family suffering from a nasty disease and getting treated for it at what’s now known as Trillium Mississauga. My wife, a nurse, worked there in Paediatrics. It was then that I began to pay closer attention to the work they do for our benefit. 

For seven years ending in 2009, I volunteered my time, expertise and energy on the Credit Valley Board of Directors helping to oversee its management and expansion as it grew into what we know THP to be today. Since then, I've learned that it is a collection of hard-working health care professionals, most also making their home right here in Mississauga, all coming together for a common cause. 

I take pride in using my real estate business to give back and support the good work these people do at THP’s.  My team rally's around our annual goal of raising money and donating portions of our income to help THP’s in their quest to heal our Mississauga kids and families when they need healing.
